14 Jun What Cutty Wore: Made in the shades
It’s that time of week again: what Cutty wore!
Each week, I chronicle Passport Cutty’s enviable style and tell you how to get the look.
Today, we tackle sunglasses. Oftentimes, when we see a look that we LOVE, it comes down to the details: accessories. You don’t have to dress like early Nicki Minaj or current KeKe Palmer to make a splash with your look. All you need to level up fashion wise are the right exclamation points on your style statement.
Back to sunglasses….
You need them to protect your delicate eyes from harmful UV rays… so ya might as well make them fly!
The top trends to try:

From the desk of Passport Cutty:
Shades are super personal so they must fit the shape of your face and your features. Therefore, no matter how cool the sunglasses are, if they don’t look good on me, I don’t buy them. I like large frames, preferably square. I buy glasses based on destination and theme. For a vacation, I will step all the way out of the box and go for a very colorful pair, special shape or special color. I need my shades to fit the vibe. Lol.
I love white sunglasses especially, but good ones are very hard to come by. For white sunglasses, the white must make the shade. I’m not satisfied with just white stems. White sunglasses just scream, “YACHT” to me which is exactly the type of look I’m going for.
In the fall and winter, black or brown sunglasses with thick frames look and wear best. The flimsy stems break quickly.
My favorite sunglasses designers are Tom Ford, Dita and Dior. I am a label whore when it comes to shades, but, lately, the style has meant more to me than the designer. I keep finding really good glasses for $10 on NYC street corners! – CUTTY
